Epsom salt is traditionally known to soothe the body.
When dissolved in water, it releases magnesium and sulfate ions traditionally known for their benefits: relief of muscle pain and cramps in athletes, hydration of the skin, exfoliation of dead cells and reduction of inflammation.
Body bath: Dissolve 2 to 3 handfuls of Epsom salt in a warm bath at 37-39°C. Relax for 20 minutes.
Exfoliation: mix a handful of Epsom salt with a little water and rub the skin with a glove.
Foot bath: In a basin, dissolve approximately 1 handful of Epsom salt per 5 liters of water at approximately 37°C. Leave your feet in the bath for at least 45 minutes.
